Five Years in the Woods

It's hard to believe, but this year marks our 5th season.

When we first started Backwoods Haunt, we had a simple goal: build something we'd be proud of and give people a reason to come out, have fun, and leave with stories they'd be talking about for weeks. Every season since then, you've shown up, supported us, and made this little haunt grow into something we never could've imagined.

Because this is our fifth season, we decided we weren't going to wait until the last minute to get started.

We're already out in the woods cutting, building, painting, fixing, and dreaming up new ideas. It's the earliest we've ever kicked off construction, and there's a good reason for it—we want this season to be the biggest one we've ever put together.

Every year we learn something new. We figure out what worked, what could be better, and where we can push ourselves a little further. That's what makes building this haunt so much fun. We're always chasing that moment when someone walks out at the end and says, "That was awesome."

There are new scenes taking shape, old favorites getting some attention, and plenty of surprises that we'll keep under wraps for now. We don't want to give away too much, but we can promise one thing: we're putting everything we've got into this season.

To everyone who's visited us over the last four years, thank you. Whether you've been here once or you've made us part of your October tradition, you're the reason we keep coming back to the woods every year.

We're excited to show you what we've been working on, and over the next few months we'll be sharing behind-the-scenes photos, build updates, and a few sneak peeks along the way.

Here's to five years... and to making Season 5 the best one yet.
